|Program Description: Abuse After the Breakup: An in-depth look at the abusive tactics offenders use specifically after the relationship ends and what survivors and advocates need to know to successfully defend against them. Most people think that domestic violence victims need only end their relationships for the abuse to stop. If only this were true. As any survivor or shelter worker will tell you, offenders’ abuse of survivors does not end after the breakup and in fact may worsen or become less predictable. This groundbreaking seminar will explore the complexity of post-relationship abuse, how it impacts survivors, and what can be done to defend against it.

Hour two (11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.) is an open discussion for advocates to address questions, challenges, and triumphs they are facing on the job – those who want to participate will simply stay on the line.
