Job Description:

This job description defines areas for which an individual has primary responsibility and is not intended to limit the scope of the job in any way.

  • Implement the activities of the VAWA grant including preparation and submission of all programmatic reports.
  • Provide training and technical assistance to domestic violence programs on cultural competency, anti-oppression, and underserved populations.
  • Provide training through the ODVN Training Institute.
  • Develop and provide specific trainings to address underserved populations including people with disabilities and others as identified.
  • Implement the activities of the Allstate Grant, including providing training and technical assistance on Economic Justice issues.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to community groups serving underserved populations.  
  • Provide additional trainings to state agencies and allied professionals including law enforcement, prosecutors, and court personnel.
  • Facilitate the LGBTQI Task Force.
  • Facilitate the ODVN Domestic Violence & Abilities Task Force.
  • Oversee and update the database on services to underserved populations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Training and Technical Assistance Director.


  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
  • Minimum three years experience in domestic violence field.
  • Previous experience in facilitating interactive trainings utilizing adult learning principles.
  •  Previous experience in training cultural competency/anti-oppression subject matter.
  • Previous experience in meeting facilitation.   
  • Previous experience in curriculum development.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency preferred.
  • Experience in webinar development preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license, access to own transportation, willingness and ability to travel statewide frequently, some national travel.
