NMCADV’s 40 hour Core Advocacy Training is now open for registration. You can register for any of the 4 scheduled in-person sessions along with access to the online training site.
The Core Advocacy Training is a 40-hour initial skills and knowledge training for advocates of domestic violence victims/survivors in New Mexico, funded by the Children Youth and Families Department. It is designed for new advocates; however, it is open to all. In fact, experienced advocates who completed their 40-hour training prior to July 2012 can review either the 24-hour online training or the full 40-hour training to meet their CYFD requirements for ongoing training/education!
There will be 4 in-person sessions held between Nov. 2013 – June 2014. Each session will be space limited, please register for the session nearest you. This does not effect starting your online study. You can begin as soon as you register for any session.
- Session 1: Albuquerque, Nov. 6-8, 2013
- Session 2: Las Cruces, Feb. 26-28, 2014
- Session 3: Farmington, April 15-17, 2014
- Session 4: Ruidoso, June 17-19, 2014
CONTINUING EDUCATION: For those of you reviewing or trying to meet the CYFD ongoing training requirement you can sign up for the 24 hours of Online Only training.
