NMCADV IDEAS Conference 2014 – Message Matters: How to Talk About Violence and Abuse so People Listen – March 20-21, 2014, Embassy Suites, Albuquerque, NM
Domestic violence and the generational trauma it causes are at the root of many of our society’s worst problems. Yet most people remain unaware of the nature and extent of the problem, and those who most need help rarely seek it. In addition, funders must be convinced of the importance in starting, maintaining or stepping up their investment in our work.
Domestic violence and abuse professionals play important roles in creating a better, safer world for all of us. The very survival of the field depends on our ability to clearly frame the issue and its solutions. How can we talk about domestic violence – its causes and consequences – in a way that people can hear and in a way that moves them to really care?
Save the dates of March 20 & 21, 2014 for a unique, first-of-its-kind Messaging Summit to be held in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Participants will learn from nationally renowned communication experts about the fundamentals of strategic communication — about what works and why — and come away with a framework for the creation of powerful messages that will resonate far into the future.
This conference is for domestic violence professionals, stakeholders and allied organizations who want to learn and effectively apply the fundamentals of persuasive messaging.
