NMCADV Seeks Board Members

The New Mexico Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NMCADV) is a statewide, non-profit organization that seeks to improve the response to domestic violence (DV) through building DV program and stakeholder capacity. NMCADV provides training, policy support and networking opportunities to approximately 30 domestic violence member programs and multiple stakeholders and partners.

In collaboration with a variety of organizations, we develop and promote policies and practices to reduce the prevalence and effects of domestic violence. We provide world-class training on cutting edge issues in domestic violence prevention and intervention. Through our statewide leadership, we help our programs to assess and effectively respond to community needs. We are presently engaged in working at both the state and national levels to design the domestic violence response of the future.

Our pledge is to continuously and significantly increase value for our members, stakeholders and employees, now and in the future. To that end, we are looking for several individuals to serve on our Board of Directors.

Our 11 member, geographically representative board meets 3 times per year in person. One meeting is held in Santa Fe and two others are held in places around the state to be determined annually. Other meetings are held as needed by phone. We are able to cover costs for BOD member participation, including mileage and lodging, where necessary.

If you are interested in contributing to our mission of making New Mexico a safer state, or if you know of someone else who might be, please contact Alisha Chavez, NMCADV Communications & Membership Coordinator at alishac@nmcadv.org, to receive a Board application packet.

The Board will consider applications at the next regularly scheduled meeting on April 27th.
