Crossroads for Women is looking for an Executive Director!
This is a job like no other and will require the new Executive Director to be uniquely talented, compassionate and able to keep the mission of Crossroads for Women firmly in place and responsive to the needs of women in New Mexico. Crossroads for Women is a leader in the efforts to create meaningful services, programs and systems change so that New Mexico women who are caught in the cycles of homelessness and incarceration are given a fair opportunity to break those cycles and move forward towards self-sufficiency.
Under the direction of the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is responsible for fiscal, operational, administrative, and human resources management of the organization, programs, and therapeutic communities.
The Executive Director blends a social justice analysis with outstanding business, communication, and interpersonal skills; builds and develops respectful and motivating relationships and partnerships with community organizations, policymakers, funders, donors, clients and staff; advocates for solutions to homelessness, incarceration and reintegration for women; and serves as spokesperson and liaison with external constituencies.
Candidates must possess a solid understanding of the dynamics of substance abuse, mental health issues, homelessness, interpersonal violence, and harm reduction and must understand how to maintain a workplace that ascribes to the principals of a trauma informed approach.
A bachelor’s degree with three to five years senior level non-profit experience is required.
