Law Enforcement Supervisor Training with Mark Wynn: Providing Leadership to Address Violence Against Women

A half day leadership training for police chiefs, sheriffs, and other law enforcement supervisors. Presented after the main 1.5 day training Domestic and Sexual Violence Intervention Training with Mark Wynn: Effective Investigation, Community Collaboration and Response, this half day training will focus on dealing with domestic and sexual violence issues in an agency from a leadership position:

A twenty-one year member of the Nashville Metropolitan Police Department, Lieutenant to the Domestic Violence Division, and 15 year member of the SWAT Team, Mark Wynn is now an internationally recognized trainer and consultant . He is an expert on child abuse, domestic violence and sexual assault prevention and intervention to first responders, advocates, clinicians and other professionals. Mr. Wynn is a consultant and trainer for national agencies including the National Stalking Resource Center, the Department of Justice Office for Victims of Crime, and the American Bar Association International Rule of Law Initiative, among various other governmental and domestic and sexual violence agencies across the country. Among his awards are the 2012 Family Justice Center Alliance Lifetime Achievement Award, the 2011 “Visionary Award” by End Violence Against Women International and the Distinguished Faculty Award by the National District Attorney’s Association. He also co-wrote the Police Officer Standards and Training certified curriculum on Law Enforcement Intervention and Investigation to Domestic and Sexual Violence. Mr. Wynn has lectured at police academies across the world, has served as an advisor to state, national and international leaders to help guide and shape law and policy on domestic violence, and is a personal survivor, enabling him to teach both effectively and passionately.
